Late blight can be managed in an organic system, but control measures need to be proactive. In the circumstance when late blight gets out of control, early harvest and crop destruct options must be considered to limit development of inoculum that could pose heightened risk for area producers. This is a community disease – management by all growers of susceptible crops is necessary.
